The UBC International Major Entry Scholarship is now available from the University of British Columbia in Canada (IMES).
International students who plan to enroll in the university’s undergraduate program are eligible for this award. Up to $40,000 CDN will be offered to the winning pupils. Every year, the application deadline is January 15th.
Outstanding international students enrolled in undergraduate programs at UBC are given the UBC International Major Entry Scholarships (IMES) each year.
Scholarships are awarded to students as they begin their first year of study at UBC, and they are renewable for up to three more years of study.
Qualifications and Standards
Students who live in Canada and wish to apply for the UBC International Major Entry Scholarships must:
- be a freshmen joining UBC straight out of high school
- be a foreign student who will enroll at UBC with a study permission issued by Canada (student visa). Your eligibility for the IMES may change if your citizenship status changes.
- exhibit excellent academic performance, intellectual promise, and noteworthy extracurricular and community activity
- to UBC by January 15
