All about Okomfo Anokye Senior High School

Okomfo Anokye Senior High School is an educational institution that was founded as a community school on October 5, 1964. Subri Secondary School was named after the Wiamoase stool.

It was the first secondary school in the then-Afiya Sekyere District, now known as Sekyere South District. On October 22, 1964, the school’s name was changed to Okomfo Anokye Secondary School.

The school was initially housed in the Presbyterian and Salvation Army Churches, with the two missions managing it until the 1970/1971 academic year, when it was absorbed by the Government of Ghana center.
