Alan Kyeremateng: I will be speaking to the Ghanaian people in the coming days

According to reliable sources, Mr Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremateng resigned from the NPP government. On Thursday, January 5, 2023, he handed in his resignation letter to President Nana Akufo-Addo.

According to the sources, the decision was made to allow the Minister to prepare for the New Patriotic Party’s presidential primaries later this year, as a result of “pressure” from the Party’s grassroots.

Mr. Kyeremateng stated this in a statement thanking President Nana Akufo-Addo for accepting his resignation as Cabinet Minister responsible for Trade and Industry, which will take effect on January 16, 2023.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akkufo Addo for the opportunity to serve and for graciously accepting my resignation as Cabinet Minister responsible for Trade and Industry, effective January 16, 2023.” He made the announcement on his official Twitter account.

He then thanked his family, colleagues, the NPP, the international community, and the general public for their unwavering support during his tenure as Minister.

Alan Kyeremateng, Ghana’s Trade Minister and NPP flagbearer candidate, has stated that he will address the nation soon. “I will be speaking to the Ghanaian people in the coming days.”
