The Attorney General’s Office has received the docket, and the Ghana Police Service has finished its inquiries into the death of Ms Georgina Asor Botwe, a 25-year-old prospective student nurse at Mankessim.

In the Cape Coast District Magistrate’s Court, which was presided over by Mr Eric Oheneba Antwi Boaisiako in place of Mrs Bernice Mensima Ackon, who is now on vacation, DSP Daniel Gadzo, the prosecutor, provided updates.

Following the update, the court again postponed the hearing until Tuesday, February 28, 2023, and instructed the Office of the Attorney General to move quickly to execute the appropriate steps.

The deceased, Ms Botwe, before the incident, called Darko, her sister’s boyfriend, to let him know she was in town on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

She had travelled from Yeji in the Bono East Region for an interview at the Ankaful Nursing Training Institute in Cape Coast as a student applicant. On Friday, September 9, 2022, Darko offered to pick her up after the interview.

Darko was arrested in Anomabo when the Central Regional Police Command got information leading to his arrest, but Quansah was able to flee. Quansah was also apprehended from his hiding place on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, thanks to a tip-off.
