UCC Department of English course requirement

WASSCE

For WASSCE applicants, the UCC Department of English requires candidates to have credit passes (A1-C6) in six subjects.

SSCE

Similarly, SSCE applicants must also possess credit passes (A-D) in English Language, Mathematics, and four other relevant subjects.

GCE

For candidates with GCE qualifications, they should have five credit level passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at the Ordinary Level (O-Level).

In addition, they should have at least two passes at the Advanced Level (A-Level).

UCC department of English cut off point

The UCC Department of English has a specified cut-off point that applicants need to meet for admission.

The cut-off point is determined by the aggregate score obtained from the relevant subjects. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must obtain a minimum aggregate score of 20.

Is D7 to F9 accepted to study Englishin UCC?

Unfortunately, candidates who obtain grades within this range in any of the required subjects, such as English Language, are not accepted to study English at UCC.
