University of Ilorin Implements Virtual Lectures Due to Transportation Difficulties

In light of transportation difficulties faced by many students, the University of Ilorin has decided to explore the option of virtual classes to ensure that learning can continue smoothly.

The Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun, announced that the virtual classes will run simultaneously with physical classes and around 500 user accounts have been assigned to faculties and departments for efficient virtual delivery of lectures.

A virtual class schedule has been developed for courses with large student populations using large capacity Zoom licenses. The school is also working to adjust the lecture timetable to accommodate the needs of students and staff

This announcement was made by the Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun on January 30th. The virtual classes will run simultaneously with the physical classes and 500 user accounts with 300 capacity zoom licenses have been assigned to faculties and departments.

A virtual class schedule has been created to accommodate large class sizes, with options for courses with 1,000, 3,000, and 5,000 students.

Virtual Lectures

The school has also made arrangements to adjust the lecture timetable to make it more flexible in response to student complaints regarding transportation and availability of fuel and cash.
