The use of science and technology in the efficient provision of healthcare is referred to as medical laboratory science. Without an efficient laboratory service, diagnosis, monitoring, and care are frequently jeopardized, resulting in costly medication treatments, incorrect diagnoses, and false information about the state of public health.

Medical laboratory scientists play a critical role in assessing the efficacy of therapies and carrying out precise disease surveillance to influence national health policies. In terms of research and instruction in the institutions that offer health training, they are also a very important group.
