Geomatics engineering is an engineering department that deals with all different types of position-dependent measurement, calculation, analysis, and visualization studies. It is the surveying of the entire or a portion of the earth using various techniques (satellites positioning, satellite images processing, etc.),

and the resulting spatial data is evaluated and expressed in maps and plans in the computer environment. One of the engineering specialties that is most open to technological advancements and the best uses of modern technology is geomatics engineering.

The creation of various maps and spatial data / information for the needs of the nation (planning, property, defense, etc.) and pinpointing the exact position (horizontal and vertical) of any kind of space or land related to the earth are the goals of geomatics engineering. Participants in the Geomatic Engineering programme at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) must have WASCE scores and credit passes in three electives and three core subjects (English, core mathematics, integrated science, and social studies) ranging from A1 to C6. The electives must have a connection to the Geomatic Engineering course.

Is D7 to F9 accepted to study Geomatic Engineering Course at KNUST?

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) does not admit applicants with D7, E8, or F9 grades for any course, including Geomatic Engineering. You must take the WAEC private test (NovDec) if you want to improve your D7, E8, or F9 courses.
