KNUST Department of Geography and Rural Development requirement
In order to participate in the Geography and Rural Development program at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), applicants having WASCE results must have credit passes A1-C6 in three electives and three core areas (English, core mathematics, integrated science, and social studies). If social studies surpass integrated science, they may be preferred over it.
Applicants for Masters (MPhil, MA, MSc) must have an excellent first degree (at least a second class lower division) in a relevant subject of study from any recognized university.
A Master’s degree with research in the relevant discipline is usually necessary for entrance to the PH.D program. If an application is found to be deficient in any way, this may be corrected by requiring the applicant to make up the difference as appropriate through course work, a mini-project, or both.
