Honorable Bede A. Ziedeng, MP for Lawra calls for accelerated Government support for victims of Eremon School fire
The Honorable Bede A. Ziedeng, MP for Lawra, has called on the government to extend aid to those affected by the fire disaster at Eremon Senior High Technical School. He expressed the urgency to provide support in order to allow the students and school to resume their academic pursuits.
The MP made a plea to the Municipal Assembly, the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council, and the Akufo-Addo-led government to swiftly take action in bringing comfort to those impacted.
In a statement, Mr. Bede A. Ziedeng, the MP for Lawra, called for support for the victims of the recent fire disaster at Eremon Senior High Technical School. He emphasized the urgency of providing relief to the girls and school authorities and appealed to the government, municipal assembly, and regional council to take action.
The MP also encouraged public-spirited individuals and organizations to assist in the rebuilding of the burned dormitory, which has left 170 female students displaced and without personal belongings. Despite efforts by the Ghana National Fire Service, the entire building was destroyed in the fire.
As a Member of Parliament for Lawra, Mr. Bede A. Ziedeng expressed his deep concern for the victims of the Eremon Senior High Technical School fire disaster. He urged the government and other public-spirited individuals and organizations to come forward and provide support to the affected students and the school.
Mr. Ziedeng stated that he was closely working with the school management, the Municipal Chief Executive, and the Upper West Regional Minister to find an immediate solution to the situation and ensure that the academic activities of the students would not be disturbed. He also reassured the parents of the students that all efforts are being made to find a suitable solution to the challenge.
