GBA President hails Isaac Dogboe as the face of Ghana boxing.

Mr. Abraham Kotei Neequaye, the President of Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), has applauded Isaac Dogboe for his outstanding performance, which has earned him the position of Ghana’s only boxer on the verge of becoming a two-time World Champion.

The President made this announcement at the WBO featherweight title match, where Isaac Dogboe will fight Cuban Ramirez Robeisy on April 1, 2023, in the United States of America.

Mr. Kotei attributed Dogboe’s recent success to his resilience and determination, which has enabled him to stage a comeback and contend for the WBO title again after his loss to Emmanuel Navarette.

He emphasized that at the world level, being in the world ratings is a prerequisite to becoming a world champion, making Isaac Dogboe the new face of Ghana in the global boxing arena.

Mr. Kotei described Dogboe as a potential winner of more titles for Ghana in the future and expressed his confidence that he would defeat his opponent, Robeisy, to bring back the title to Ghana.

He urged Ghanaians to support Dogboe in his quest to lift high the flag of Ghana through his boxing exploits.

Dogboe has an impressive record of 24 wins in 26 bouts, losing only two to the current World Champion, Emmanuel Navarrete, who has now advanced to the WBO World Super Featherweight bout against Liam Wilson.

In his last bout, Dogboe emerged victorious over American international, Joet Gonzalez, increasing his chances of another shot at a world title.
