Bristol Think Big Scholarships for International Students

The University of Bristol is delighted to invite applications for the Bristol Think Big Scholarship Programme. Eligible candidates must be classified as international students and pursue a degree in one of the eligible courses listed at the University. Entries are accepted twice each year, and the scholarships are tuition fee reductions.

Scholarship Description

These are amongst the list of the Bristol Think Big Scholarships to which the general terms and conditions apply. Each scholarship does have its peculiar eligibility criteria and application procedure:

Award Value

The winner of this Think Big Scholarship Programme will be tuition fee discounts and bursaries granted as follows:

Scholarships:

  • The Bristol Think Big Scholarships valued at £6,500 and £13,000 per year for Undergraduates and can only be used towards the cost of tuition fees and living costs, and are non-transferable.
  • For Postgraduate studies the scholarships are valued at £6,500 and £13,000 and £26,000 per year.
  • If the amount of scholarship awarded is more than the cost of the tuition fees, the tuition fees will be covered in full and any remainder will not be issued.

Bursaries:

  • Bursaries will be awarded in the form of a contribution towards living costs. Payments will be made at the beginning of the academic year, once the recipient has registered in full and set up a UK bank account.

For all undergraduate awardees, and postgraduate awardees on two-year courses: this bursary will be available only in the first year of study.

Level and Area of Studies

Bachelor, Master’s and PhD degree in one of the following fields:

  • Arts and Humanities
  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
  • Social Sciences and Law

Place of Study

The study will be taken at the University of Bristol in UK.

Eligibility and Criteria

You are eligible to apply for the Bristol Think Big Scholarships thus:

To be eligible for the Bristol Think Big undergraduate scholarships, you must:

  • have applied to any undergraduate course at the University of Bristol, with the exception of medicine, dentistry and veterinary science;
  • start your undergraduate course in September 2023;
  • be classed as an overseas student for fee-paying purposes;
  • not already be in receipt of other funding which would equate to more than the full cost of tuition fees alongside a Bristol scholarship.

To be eligible for the Bristol Think Big postgraduate scholarships, you must:

  • have applied to any one-year, full-time master’s programme, or one of our eligible two-year programmes – Social Work (MSc) and Law (MA);
  • start your master’s programme in September 2023;
  • be classed as an overseas student for fee-paying purposes;
  • not already be in receipt of other funding which would equate to more than the full cost of tuition fees alongside a Bristol scholarship.
