Methodist Technical Institute (MTI) in Kwadaso was founded in 1992 on the initiative of Mr. Sampson Fobi, the Bethel Methodist Church – Kwadaso, and the Lutheran Church of Germany.

In 2010, the Ghanaian government established the Methodist Technical Institute. The school is the third (3rd) Government Technical Institute in the Ashanti Region.

It is situated behind the Methodist Vocational Training Centre and close to the Pentecost Church in Kwadaso.

The school has received accreditation from the Technical Examination Unit (TEU) and the National Board for Professional and Technical Examination (NABPTEX).

The school has a 7-unit classroom block, a dorm block, and a workshop.
