The Narhbita School of Nursing is a private tertiary health institution located in Tema, Ghana. It was established in 2008, originating from the Narh-Bita Clinic founded in 1979. The clinic evolved into a hospital in 1987 due to increased responsibilities and later led to the establishment of the School of Nursing to address the shortage of health workers, especially nurses. The school’s academic program is overseen by the Nurses’ and Midwives’ Council for Ghana, with the University of Ghana acting as a mentor university.

As the institution expanded its programs in the health sector, it changed its name to Narh-Bita College while maintaining the School of Nursing as a component. The college offers various programs, including Diploma in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Advanced Diploma in Medical Assistantship, and Certificate for Health Assistant Clinical (HAC).

The college is officially registered and accredited by the Registrar General’s Department and the National Accreditation Board. Its development can be traced back to the initiative of Dr. and Mrs. Narh, driven by a desire to address the shortage of health workers. The institution is equipped with modern facilities such as a library, computer laboratory, and necessary equipment, fostering a conducive environment for teaching and learning.

The college operates within the Tema Metropolitan Assembly and is under the supervision of the Ministry of Education. Successful completion of the three-year nursing training program leads to a Diploma in Nursing awarded by the University of Ghana. The Nurses and Midwifery Council (NMC) regulates the college’s activities, curriculum, and examinations.
