Fortunately, about 1000 Ghanaians have been reportedly sponsored to take up courses on the world-wide online learning platform called Coursera.
This development is in addition to an initial sponsorship secured for 2400 Ghanaians to study on Udemy, which is also an American online learning platform.
Checks by websaet.com indicate that Coursera works with universities and other organizations to offer online courses, specializations, and degrees in a variety of subjects, such as engineering, data science, machine learning, mathematics, business, computer science, digital marketing, humanities, medicine, biology, social sciences, and others.
According to the management of Coursera selected specialization courses should be completed by 31 December 2020. Learners are assessed and issued with a certificate on successful completion.
The management of GHLA said it’s selecting the 1000 learners from this pool. GHLA is supported by the Commonwealth of Learning ( CoL).
