This is to let everyone know that the 2023 University of Alicante Researchers Program for African Students application is now open to all qualified and interested applicants.
The preceding list now includes the prerequisites and the application process. Please follow these instructions carefully as we guide you through them.
Qualifications for the University of Alicante’s Researchers Program
Before the deadline for application submission, the grants’ recipients must fulfill the following obligations.
In general:
- They must be from one of the Sub-Saharan African countries
- Not be eligible for another grant of a similar nature in order to complete a stay at the UA during the requested period.
- Carry out the grant-funded activity within the time frame specified in the call.
- Not incur in any of the circumstances listed in Article 13.2 of General Subsidies Law 38/2003.
- Except for studies, do not have a residence permit in Spain.
- You must be a citizen of one of the African countries listed in this call.
- Enrolling in a doctorate/postgraduate program at a university in one of the African countries listed in these rules.
- Having previously obtained approval from the University of Alicante for a research group.
Short postdoctoral stays:
- You must be a citizen of one of the African countries listed in this call.
- Possess a Doctorate degree in your field.
- Having previously obtained approval from the University of Alicante for a research group
Documents Needed for the Application
Documentation to be presented, in the form of separate documents and in pdf format:
- Curriculum vitae (CV)
- Passport, NIE, or other form of identification from your country of origin
- Doctorate, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree, depending on the level of study
- Accreditation of completed publications
- Acceptance letter from the University of Alicante’s research group
- Any document that demonstrates the merits stated in the form.
