Two-day District Assemblies Visit by Western Regional Minister

The Western Regional Minister, Mr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, began a two-day visit to two assemblies within the Region to strengthen the monitoring and evaluation mandate of the Regional Coordinating Council.

According to a statement signed by the Regional Coordinating Council Director, Mr Fredrick Agyemang, the Minister visited the Shama and Wassa East Districts between Tuesday and Wednesday, January 11 to 12.

During his visit, the Minister paid courtesy calls on the District Chief Executives of the Assemblies, paramount chiefs, and eminent personalities. He also engaged the staff of the Assemblies and visited some factories and new project sites, including the construction of health facilities and school buildings.

The visit was part of the Regional Coordinating Council’s duty to periodically move to the various districts to assess the progress of development aspirations and areas for assistance.
