Reverend Anthony Kwadwo Boakye’s Death: What is the His Cause Of Death

In a press release, the late pastor’s attorney disclosed the cause of Reverend Anthony Kwadwo Boakye’s death.

On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, Reverend Anthony Kwadwo Boakye passed away at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

The man of God, who had been unable to move for some time, ultimately gave way to the cold, merciless grip of death.

The popular inspirational preacher died after suffering from a stroke on October 23, 2021, which ultimately led to his demise, according to the press release confirming and explaining the cause of his death.

Rev. Boakye reportedly underwent a number of medical procedures after contracting the illness, including physiotherapy, to speed up his recuperation.

According to the statement, these treatments had maintained him healthy up until the point where he needed to seek medical attention abroad.

“Following this impressive improvement in his health conditions, Rev. Boakye resumed his pastoral activities by giving virtual homilies from his base at an undisclosed location on Sundays until he physically appeared in church on New Year’s Eve to lead in the church service himself.”

“Thereafter, he continued with his physiotherapeutic exercise and had regular audiences with some selected leaders of the church, family members and his legal counsel”, the statement stressed.

It continued, “On 31st January 2023 his family was compelled to take him back to the hospital when he complained of sharp pains in his left leg.”

“It was detected that blood circulation to his left leg was not the best and that there was the need to fly him out of the country to seek further medical care and, if necessary, undergo a surgical operation.

“Preparations were underway to make that journey when he was suddenly taken ill and was rushed to the Cardiothoracic Centre at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. Unfortunately, he gave up the ghost around 2 am on Tuesday 21st February 2023,” the statement on his death, which was signed by his legal counsel, Alexander K.K. Abban said.

The minister was well-known for his down-to-earth sermons that addressed the necessity for Christians to live virtuous lives while living in the power of God during his lifetime.

His online and live Sunday sermons, as well as other evangelical events he hosted across the nation, emphasized these messages.

His distinctive delivery in the regional Twi dialect has acquired a sizable following, resulting in the emergence of branches in Kasoa, the location of the church’s headquarters, and elsewhere.

Reverend Anthony Kwadwo Boakye was renowned for his charitable deeds toward the destitute, including bedridden patients, flood victims, and other underprivileged people. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made public.

“We entreat all members of the church and the general public to keep him in your prayers for God to grant him peaceful repose in the bosom of Abraham, our father in faith.

“Funeral arrangements will be communicated to the public in due course”, the statement indicated.
