Teacher And Nurses Training Allowances Set To Be Paid By End Of June

Through the Health and Education Ministries, Government has released a total amount of GH¢295,200,000.00 for the payment of allowances for both trainee nurses and teachers.

The amount is the final part payment of the trainees in all public training Institutions in the country, which from March to June 2023. Each trainee is to receive an amount of 400 Ghana cedis for these months.

In an interview on kessben FM, the Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah announced the release of the funds. He also said that, plans are in place to immediately pay trainees who had challenges in receiving their allowances previously due to issues with their E-Zwich cards.

“Trainees who may have other challenges with the payment of their allowance are kindly advised to contact the heads their schools for redress,” He stated.

President Akufo-Addo, as part of his 2016 campaign message had set to fulfill his promise to trainees even in this COVID-19 times. The payment of the allowance is to reduce the burden of trainee teachers and nurses, especially the final years to have the sound mind to study as they are about to write their final papers.
