KNUST SRC Presidential Candidate Donates To ISA

On Friday the 3rd of April 2023, when all other SRC candidates were sharing links to La Casa De Papel (Money Heist), Bright Emmanuel Ampofo and his team donates To ISA International Students Association to aid in their stay on campus during the lockdown period.

The gesture is to prevent the possible shortage of water around the ISA vicinity, as well as reduce movement of students in search of water and also to keep them hydrated during the partial lockdown period.

After recording cases of Coronavirus in the country, the President issued directives, closed down all Universities and Institutions of Higher Education until further notice. KNUST in response to the directive from the President of Ghana asked all students to go home with the exception of International Students, who were asked to stay on campus.

Explaining the rationale behind Team Bright’s donation, KNUST SRC Presidential Aspirant, Bright Emmanuel Ampofo stated that, “as a team that is driven to serve the community, we felt the need to support the efforts of the International Students Association in providing certain essential welfare services to her members amidst this pandemic. The fight against the pandemic in our view is a shared responsibility. So we were motivated by that to provide this kind of support.”

President of the International Students’ Association, Hon Increase Enyindah, who received the donation, expressed his gratitude on behalf of his people to Bright and his team.
