The BECE 2022 results have finally been unveiled, and students who took the exams are eager to find out their placements. While some may not be completely satisfied with their results, the majority are eager to see where they’ll be heading to next in their educational journey.

In this update, we aim to address some of the questions and concerns you may have about the BECE 2022 results, the 2023 placement process, and any potential school changes.

When will the 2023 BECE Placements be released to the public?

The SHS placement is expected to be released to the public within 9th February and 15th February, 2023. All BECE candidates who meet the requirements for placement may go ahead to check their placement if the date provided appears accurate.

What provisional result is

A provisional result is a preliminary or temporary result that is subject to further verification or confirmation. This type of result is often used when there is still uncertainty or the potential for changes to be made to the final outcome..

NB: It is impossible to alter preliminary results. Only WAEC is capable. WAEC will later release the final results. If there should be changes, they would do so.

BECE 2022 Cut-Off Point

The bar for BECE 2022 is set with a minimum requirement of 45 aggregate points. To secure your first or second-choice school, it is advisable to aim for an aggregate score within the range of 6 to 30. Candidates who exceed the score of 30 may need to find alternative placement options such as self-placement or accepting a third or fourth choice school assignment

What is BECE’s Grade Range?

BECE grades range from 9 to 1. Candidates who attain a grade of 1 in all subjects are likely to be placed first and to their best choice schools.

Note that the withheld papers will be released after WAEC has completed its investigation into the affected candidates.

Remember, to be placed in your best choice school, you should attain an aggregate within the rage of 6 and 30.
