Johns Hopkins University Admission Process

Requirements for undergraduate applications

1. Application and Supplement: Johns Hopkins University accepts the Coalition for College Application and the Common Application, with a supplement or additional questions required.

2. Secondary School Report: School counselor recommendation, transcript, and high school profile.

3. Two Teacher Evaluations: Evaluations from two teachers who can provide insight into you and your work.

4. SAT Reasoning Test or ACT: Because testing availability and access continue to be limited, Johns Hopkins is extending our test-optional policy for the Class of 2026 (students applying for entry in the fall of 2022). If you choose to submit your scores, Johns Hopkins will consider them as part of our holistic application review process.

If a student has a test score—SAT, ACT, AP, IB, English language proficiency exams, or others—and feels it is reflective of their academic ability, Johns Hopkins University welcomes any testing submission they choose to share. More standardized test information.

The Coalition for College Application and the Common Application both provide fee exemptions. You will be asked questions on the application platform to determine your fee waiver eligibility. If you do not satisfy the qualifying requirements and the application cost is high, Johns Hopkins University will accept an email from your high school counselor requesting that the money be waived.

How to Apply for Johns Hopkins University Admission
