GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Accounting:
    The Diploma in Accounting is a 4-semester programme for candidate whose qualifications may include five credits at GCE ‘O’ Level. Candidates who do not have ‘O’ Levels but have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Sub-Professional Accountancy Training Scheme organized by the Audit Service, or Stage III of the Ghana Commercial Examination, may be considered. A minimum of 3 years working experience is required of each candidate.
  2. Adult Education:
    The Diploma in Adult Education is a 4-semester programme for candidates who in addition to satisfying the general requirements should have a good general work experience of not less than three years.
  3. General Music:
    The Diploma in General Music is a 4-semester programme for persons with proven competence in the theory of Music up to at least GCE ‘O’ Level/SSSCE.
  4. Librarianship/Archives Administration:
    The Diploma in Librarianship/Archives Administration is a 4-semester programme. At the time of registration, candidates should be in regular employment in appropriate institutions and must have been working for at least one year in such institutions.
  5. Medical Laboratory Technology:
    The Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology is a 4-semester programmme following successful completion of the Ministry of Health Certificate for Medical Laboratory Technicians. In addition to the prescribed basic qualifications, applicants must possess the Ministry of Health Certificate for Medical Laboratory Technicians and must have at least 3 years working experience.
  6. The National Diploma Programmes in Agriculture:
    These are 4-semester programmes for candidates aspiring for semi-professional roles in Agriculture/Home Science. The Agriculture programmes offers specialization options in General Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Health and Post-Harvest Technology. The programmes are for persons who have obtained the requisite diplomas from recognized institutions of the Ministries of Agriculture/Education/Health and must have been working for at least three years subsequent to obtaining the diploma. In the case of Home Science, Post-Harvest Technology and Animal Health applicants must have qualified for study leave with their employers.
  7. Public Administration:
    The Diploma in Public Administration is a 4-semester programme for candidates whose qualifications may include two passes at GCE ‘A’ Level. A minimum of 3 years working experience is required of each candidate.
  8. Statistics:
    The Diploma in Statistics is a 2-semester programme following the Certificate course in Statistics. Candidates must therefore have obtained the Certificate in Statistics or its approved equivalent.
  9. Social Administration:
    The Diploma in Social Administration is a 4-semester training programme in Social Work for mature persons who have relevant working experience. Candidates must be sponsored by their organisation
