The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) says it will limit admission for 2023/24 to applicants who score an aggregate of six in their WASSCE examinations.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdnego Fihi Oko Amarte, who disclosed this at a ceremony held in the school, explained that this is to limit the high number of admissions to the school.

According to him, the acceptance rate is increasing — which puts pressure on the school’s facilities.

He said that despite deliberate efforts by the administration to provide more facilities, it has become important to check admission.

Therefore, Professor Abdnego Fehi Oko Amarte urged potential applicants to improve their grades if they want to be admitted.

“…And I want to believe that going forward from next year, we may lower the numbers because they are going too far as we try to create facilities that we recognize a lot of us come to.

“So please tell your brothers and sisters that if you don’t get a total of six, UPSA next year, you can’t enter. He said.
