University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Is the Most Disciplined University in Ghana: The Public Should Remain Calm COUNSELLOR DANIEL FENYI (Fmr. Teaching Assistant, UEW)

Counsellor Daniel Fenyi, who is an alumni and once Teaching Assistant of the University of Education, Winneba has asserted that UEW is arguably the most disciplined University in Ghana. He however warned that the seeming politization of the school omens doom for the 25-year old University.

Counsellor Daniel Fenyi, who spoke to the Volta Region (Ho) based Global 105.1 FM last Tuesday morning, on the current fracas between a fraction of the lecturing body and the administration said it’s uncharacteristic of UEW students to hit the streets hence an indication that situations have gone really bad.

Mr. Daniel Fenyi thinks that the sacking of some senior lecturers and professors of the school is unfortunate and the decision must be reconsidered, if possible.

Counsellor Daniel Fenyi, who admitted to a partial understanding of the obviously sophisticated issue, opined that eventhough the sacked lecturers might have gone afoul to the rules of the school, outright dismissal is quite strict a punishment.

Counsellor Daniel Fenyi called on the students’ body to remain calm and go legal in pressing home their demands. He again called on UTAG to be apolitical in their reactions to issues and also appealed to the Vice Chancellor, Rev. Father Professor Anthony Afful-Broni to tamper principles with human consideration especially first time offenders.
