We would like to inform the public that the Stanbic IBTC University Scholarship 2023 is currently open for applications from international students who wish to study abroad. This scholarship presents an excellent opportunity for those interested in contributing to the future economic growth of South Africa. It is important to familiarize yourself with the requirements and eligibility criteria before applying for the Stanbic IBTC University Scholarship.

To apply for the scholarship, please follow the steps outlined below:

2. Fill in the required details and attach the requested documents.
3. Submit your application.

Successful applicants will be notified via email.

General Eligibility for Stanbic IBTC University Scholarship:

To be eligible for the Stanbic IBTC University Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

• Reside in Nigeria and have participated in the 2022 University Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
• Have a JAMB score of 200 and above.
• Have gained admission and properly enrolled in a Nigerian Federal or State University with relevant evidence.
• Maintain an enrolled status in your admitted degree program at the University.
• Note that the scholarship does not apply to employees of Stanbic IBTC and/or their immediate family members. If any entries are made by employees or their immediate family members, they will not be rewarded.

Stanbic IBTC University Scholarship Criteria

• The scholarship will be awarded to 100 applicants, with a minimum of 2 applicants per state, spread across the 36 states of the federation and FCT. It will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis until all 100 slots are allocated.
• Only applicants who follow the instructions and meet all the eligibility criteria will be considered for the scholarship.
• Winners will be contacted through the valid email address provided.

Please note that applicants planning to study courses related to the “Future of work” will have an added advantage. Examples of such courses include Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Accounting, Finance, IT, and more. If an applicant applies multiple times, they will still be entitled to only one scholarship slot. The decisions of Stanbic IBTC are final regarding all matters related to the scholarship.

Stanbic IBTC University Scholarship Terms and Conditions

• Maintain an enrolled status in your respective university and degree program.
• Adhere to the academic and administrative policies of the university and provide a letter of good conduct issued by your department annually.
• Maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of second class upper (CGPA of at least 3.5 in a 5-point system, at least 3.0 in a 4-point system, or at least 4.6 in a 7-point system). Evidence of your CGPA must be provided at the beginning of every academic year before scholarship payment can be made.
• Fulfill any additional criteria communicated to you through email.
• Provide a report at the end of each academic year detailing how the scholarship funds have been spent.
• It is your responsibility to submit this report within the specified time advised by Stanbic IBTC. Failure to do so, without a valid reason, may result in withheld future payments.

Termination of Scholarship:

Stanbic IBTC may terminate your scholarship if:

• You withdraw or transfer from your program of study.
• You are suspended or excluded from the university or your program.
• You are expelled from the university.
• You have made any misrepresentation during the application process or in connection with your studies at the university.
• You have acted fraudulently or dishonestly in securing the scholarship or your place at the university.

If your scholarship is terminated, you will not receive any further payments. In certain cases, you may be required to repay some or all of the scholarship funds received.

Please note that the deadline for application submissions is April 27, 2023. No applications will be accepted after this date.
