On Monday, the Otumfuo met with Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen at the Manhyia Palace and assured him of his prayers and blessings.

“I support you with prayers and blessings in the pursuit of your ambition,” said the Asantehene.

In order to realize his aspirations, he counseled the former minister of trade and industry to put his faith in God’s protection and the strength of the Golden Stool.

The King also exhorted Mr. Kyerematen to always act in Ghana’s best interests by applying his knowledge and experience.

The presidential candidate was also urged by the Otumfuo to run a respectable campaign devoid of disparaging remarks about other candidates for the flag bearer position.

Additionally, he counseled the NPP delegates to select a candidate who would be supported by all Ghanaians rather than just one who could lead the party.

Mr. Kyerematen appreciated the Otumfuo’s prayers and support over the years. He assured him that he would continue to rely on his wise advice and guidance.

Mr. Kyerematen also described his strategy for modernizing the NPP, which includes developing executive-level party members’ entrepreneurial skills and establishing constituency business operations.

“I will not disappoint the Manhyia Palace and Ghana as a whole when I get the mandate to lead the party and the nation at large,” Mr Kyerematen said.

If elected president, the former minister made plans to create a Special Economic Zone in Ejisu and a New Greater Kumasi Industrial City.
