Scholarship Description
The GRIPS Scholarship offers full scholarships to exceptionally qualified candidates who have been accepted for study at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies. These scholarships are provided by the Japanese government (MEXT), international organizations, and GRIPS itself. The specific scholarship awarded will be determined by GRIPS based on the eligibility requirements set by the scholarship providers (refer to the Scholarship Eligibility and Details chart). The scholarship is available for Master’s and Ph.D. programs in the following fields of study: Public Policy; Public Finance; Macroeconomic Policy; Economics, Planning, and Public Policy; Disaster Management Policy; Maritime Safety and Security Policy; Japanese and Culture.
Place of Study
The scholarship recipients will study at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Japan.
Eligibility and Requirements
Candidates applying for Master’s Programs and 5-year Ph.D. Programs must hold a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. Candidates applying for 3-year Ph.D. Programs must hold a Master’s degree or its equivalent.
