Per the academic calendar with the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) to the disbursement of the teacher trainees allowances for the second semester is scheduled for payment for the months of May, June, July and August.
Trainee teachers have been in high anticipation for their four months arrears of allowance. From the explanations given by the SLTF and the Finance Minister is that trainee teachers will have to wait for a little time to receive their allowance.
But from reports gathered by Manuelnewsgh.com with Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) depicts that Teacher Trainees at the Public Colleges of Education recently received their two months allowances which is May and June, trainee teachers were expecting their remaining two months allowance, God being so good their July allowance has also been paid fully with all arrears and they are to visit their respective banks to confirm and withdraw their money.
Trainee teachers most especially final year trained teachers have only one month allowance to take from the government then the government is done with them. We trained teachers most especially final year trained teachers who just completed college of education this month are grateful to the government for keeping their promises, we hope they will continue their promise with our level 200 and 300 till they also complete college.
The Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has made it clear to the leadership of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana(TTAG) that trainees shall be paid their allowances with a month’s arrears in few days ahead and truly they have gone by their words and did not disappointed trainee teachers.
The SLTF therefore has paid trainee teachers three months allowance with all arrears.
Please note that SLTF Will be paying only 200 gh as they’ve always been paying and the remaining components will be paid to the college as your feeding just as always.
Colleges will have to refund the monies back to trainees since they’ve not been fed.
I entreat all & sundry to stay calm as the local TTAG (SRC) starts working on it when SLTF is done with the Disbursement.
The remaining one month will be paid hopefully at the end of August.
