How to Pay Hostel Maintenance Fees at UNIMAID

Attention all undergraduate students of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), we want to inform you that the hostel accommodation application process for the 2021/2022 academic session has been released by the institution’s management.

For those who have paid a pin registration fee of 1000 at the Student Affairs Division, we are pleased to inform you that arrangements have been made for you to book the room and bed space of your choice online.

While awaiting further instructions on the booking process, kindly visit the Google Play store and download the UMSTAD app with the University of Maiduguri logo. Once downloaded and installed, click to open the app which will lead you to the login page. Input your ID Number and username, and use your ID Number as the default password.

You will then be prompted to upload your passport. After uploading, change your password and click on update.

If you have successfully completed this task, please wait for further instructions from the Division. However, if you are unable to access your dashboard, please report to the Student Affairs Division immediately.

Attention to all students who have successfully booked their bed space through the UMSTAD online booking app, please note that you are required to pay the appropriate fees in order to claim your accommodation. Below is a breakdown of the fees for each of the halls of residence available:

  • Aisha Hall (F) – N 15,135.00k
  • Murtala Mohammed Hall (F) – N 15,135.00k
  • Sardama Hall (M) – N/A
  • Tafawa Balewa Hall (M) – N/A
  • Ibrahim Imam Hall (M) – N/A
  • Ado Bayero Hall (M) – N/A
  • New Male A Hall (M) – N 22,635.00k
  • New Male B Hall (M) – N 22,635.00k
  • Aisha Buhari Hall (F) – N 22,635.00k

Please ensure that you make the appropriate payment as soon as possible to secure your bed space.

To pay your hostel maintenance fees, follow these steps:
  1. Go to Remita.net and log in.
  2. Choose “Pay TSA and State” and then “Federal Government of Nigeria”.
  3. Click on “Pay a biller” (in red) and write “University of Maiduguri” in full in the box provided.
  4. Select “Hostel Maintenance Fees” as the service purpose.
  5. Write “Payment of Hostel Maintenance Fees 2021/2022” and your ID number in the description box.
  6. Type in “0” (zero) in the S. GIMIS code box.
  7. Enter the appropriate fee amount for your booked hall (as seen in the list provided earlier).
  8. Provide your name, phone number, and a valid email address.
  9. Confirm your email address by typing it again in the next box.
  10. Click the “Submit” button at the bottom.
  11. After submitting, you’ll be taken to a page with two payment options: using a card or paying at a bank branch.
  12. If you choose to pay at a bank, print a copy of the payment RRR from your email and take it to any bank.
  13. Once you’ve paid, report to the Student Affairs Office for RRR verification.
  14. After verification, collect your Hostel Permit and proceed to your hall.

To secure your online booked bedspace, kindly follow these steps:

  1. Obtain photocopies of your RRR, hostel permit, and a passport photograph (1 copy).
  2. Report to your Hall Officer with these documents for documentation purposes.
  3. Your Hall Officer will then take down your details for further processing.
  4. Once documentation is complete, your Hall Officer will check you into the room that you booked online.
