All about Kumasi Technical Institute

We will give you information about Kumasi Technical Institute’s courses, location, mission, and vision, as well as its phone number, accomplishments, and facilities on this page.

The high completion rates at the junior high school level have increased the demand for secondary education. In response, several new public schools have been built, and the infrastructure of already-existing schools has been improved.

The Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) placement trends show some inequity in the school selection process. The overwhelming preference of students for the few, traditionally high-performing schools results in over-enrollment at these institutions.

Many schools that have made significant progress in recent years remain unpopular and under-enrolled. We think this anomaly partially results from parents and students not having access to adequate information.

DESCRIPTION

The Ghanaian government founded Kumasi Technical Institute in September 1976 with assistance from and in coordination with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
But academic work didn’t begin until January 1977.

Until May 1978, the institute was initially run by Ghanaians with Canadian counterparts acting as counsellors. At that point, the Canadians started to turn the institute over to a fully Ghanaian administration. In June, the final Canadians left.
