The authorities invite applications from eligible candidates for admission into the Post Basic Psychiatric Nursing Programme for the 2023/2024 academic session.
The program is 18 months long and is suitable for candidates with the required qualifications.
Qualification Requirements
To be eligible for admission into the 18 months Post Basic Psychiatric Nursing programme for the 2023/2024 academic session, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
- Must be a Registered Nurse
- Must provide evidence of registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
- Must possess a current practicing license issued by NMCN
- Must have obtained at least five (5) credits at not more than two sittings in O’level results (WAEC or NECO), including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. A combination of WAEC and NECO is acceptable, while NABTEB is also acceptable. Any other qualification in Nursing will be an added advantage.
How to Apply
For those interested in applying for the 18 months Post Basic Psychiatric Nursing programme for the 2023/2024 academic session, application forms can be obtained from the School of Post Basic Psychiatric Nursing at the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital in Barnawa, Kaduna.
Importance Things to Note
- To obtain the application form, a non-refundable fee of N10,000 is payable through Remita in favor of the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital in Kaduna.
- Applicants should submit completed forms, along with photocopies of relevant credentials and two colored passport photographs on a white background to the institution no later than Friday 17th March, 2023.
- A pre-test is scheduled for Tuesday 21st March, 2023 at 9am prompt, while the interview date is set for Wednesday 22nd March, 2023 also at 9am prompt.
Successful applicants will be expected to commence their training on the 24th of April, 2023.
