Admission Cut-off Points for Colleges of Education

The cut-off point for admission into colleges of education for the academic year 2022/2023 ranges from A1-C6 for all colleges of education (CoE) in Ghana.

Successful admission means you have written WASSCE/SSSCE and got a good grade. The definition of a good grade according to the college standard is to have grades A1 -C6. Said degrees must consist of three (3) core subjects and three (3) elective subjects. In total, the applicant must pass six (6) subjects before purchasing the consent forms.

Maths, science and English language are the expected subjects that all applicants must pass before applying.

Passing all six (6) subjects is a guarantee of admission to one of the Colleges of Education (CoE) in Ghana.

The cut-off grades/points/ aggregate for gaining admission into Colleges of Education in the 2022/2023 academic year commences from A1-C6 across all the Colleges of Education n Ghana.

Gaining admission into the College of Education means you wrote your WASSCE/SSSCE and got a good grade. The admission cut-off point for college of education admission is  A1 -C6. The said grades MUST entail three (3) Core subjects and three (3) Elective subjects. In all, an applicant should PASS in six (6) subjects BEFORE purchasing the admission forms.

Is D7 to F9  accepted in the college of Education?

D7 is a recognized grade on the grading scheme but, it is not an acceptable grade that can guarantee your admission into Teaching Colleges in Ghana.

Applicants who are holders of the TVET Certificate should:

PASS with credits in 5 subjects. The subjects MUST be three (3) core subjects that include English Language and Mathematics, & two (2) other vital and courses related elective subjects which will be a benchmark for gaining admission into the needed department.
