Assin-Dominase: Police Investigate Murder of a Labourer.

Police in the Central Region of Ghana have commenced an investigation into the alleged murder of Kwaku Emmanuel, a 28-year-old labourer from Assin Dominate in the Assin South District.

The incident has reportedly caused fear and panic in the town, prompting Nana Kwame Akwapong, the Kyidomhene of Assin-Dominase, to call for increased police patrols in the area to ensure the safety of residents.

A team of police officers, led by Chief Superintendent Sefas Arthur, the Assin-Fosu District Police Commander, found a bag containing three balls of kenkey, a plier and a stepdown machine beside Emmanuel’s body.

The police are yet to determine the motive behind the murder and are appealing to the public for any information that could aid in their investigation.

The victim’s mother, Madam Yaa Mansa, stated that her son left home on January 9 for Assin Fosu but did not return as expected. She was later informed on January 10 that her son had been brutally murdered and his body dumped on the outskirts of the town.

According to her, the deceased had bruises on his face, and blood was oozing from his nostrils.
