The high completion rates at the junior high school level have increased the demand for secondary education. In response, several new public schools have been built, and the infrastructure of already-existing schools has been improved.
The Computer Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) placement trends show some inequity in the school selection process. The overwhelming preference of students for the few, traditionally high-performing schools results in over-enrollment at these institutions.
Many schools that have greatly improved in recent years are still unknown and underutilized.
This anomaly, we believe, is due in part to a lack of information available to students and parents.
