2023 Fully-funded ExxonMobil Middle East and North Africa Scholars Program Application

The ExxonMobil Middle East and North Africa Scholars Program is currently accepting applications from ambitious and driven individuals who are interested in pursuing a master’s degree through the Institute of International Education at a top-tier university in the United States.

Selected candidates will receive comprehensive support, including full coverage of tuition fees, housing and living expenses, medical insurance, as well as allowances for textbooks and computers. In addition, the scholarship covers transportation to the United States, visa application and academic assistance, an intensive orientation program, as well as an annual professional development and networking conference.

Information on ExxonMobil Middle East and North Africa Scholars

Selected finalists for this scholarship have been invited to attend a three-day short course traditionally held in Turkey or the United Arab Emirates. Participants in the short course will gain business skills related to the energy industry and have the opportunity to network with peers from across the Middle East and North Africa regions.

Recipients of the scholarship will be placed by the Institute of International Education in a leading university in the United States based on their strengths and research interests. This scholarship provides a unique opportunity for ExxonMobil to contribute to the Middle East and North Africa region by helping to develop highly skilled and culturally aware individuals.

ExxonMobil, USA is the sponsor of this scholarship program, which is hosted by the Institute of International Education (IIE). The scholarship covers all expenses, making it fully-funded. Several awards will be given for this scholarship, which is available to African, Middle Eastern, and North African students who wish to pursue a master’s degree.

Qualification Requirements

In order to be considered for the ExxonMobil Middle East and North Africa Scholars Program, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Applicants must be citizens of countries in the Middle East and North Africa region.
  • Applicants must be enrolling in a full-time program.
  • Applicants must have resided in the Middle East/North Africa for at least 15 years and be fluent in Arabic.
  • Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Math, or Geography by the program start date.
  • Applicants must be citizens of Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, or the UAE.
