General Eligibility for Recruitment into the Nigerian Army
The following are the requirements for applicants to the Nigerian Defence Academy’s (NDA) 84th Regular Course:
- must be morally upright and in good physical and medical health.
- Must be a single man or woman with no requirement under the law to support any children or other people.
- show a certificate of native status issued by the state or local government region.
- At the time of registration in the year of enrollment into the Academy, you must be at least 17 years old and NOT older than 21.
- A minimum of 5 ordinary level credits at GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NBAIS, and NABTEB) English language, Mathematics, and three additional courses relevant to the planned program must be obtained in no more than two sittings.
- Must have passed the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and achieved an acceptable minimum national standard (as determined by the JAMB annual policy meeting) in English, Mathematics, and any other two subjects relevant to the proposed course of study as specified in the JAMB Brochure.
- Males must be 1.68 meters tall and females must be 1.65 meters tall.
- In addition to French and Arabic, the Mandarin language is an asset.
Additional Important Registration Guidelines
Each applicant must meet the following requirements as part of the NDA Entrance Application Requirements:
- Applications that are submitted without results from the ordinary level will NOT be approved.
- Applicants who are awaiting results are ineligible.
- Only results from exams at the ordinary level that are less than five years old will be accepted.
- Men and women from Nigeria must be at least 18 years old to be admitted to the Academy.
How to Register on the Nigerian Army Recruiting Website
1. The Nigerian Army Official Portal at army.mil.ng should be used for all online registrations for the Nigerian Army Admission Portal.
2. The subsequent step is to select “Buy Access Code.”
You would be wise to register, sign up, or log in if you are not currently logged in or side up.
3. After acquiring their ORDER ID and REMITA Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code in the amount of N3,500.00 only, you may now correctly fill out your information and details to pay for their application via REMITA.
NOTE:
- The application portal’s generated RRR Codes are the only ones that will accept payment.
- Only applicants who receive a minimum JAMB score of 180 (for the faculties of arts and social sciences, science, military science, and interdisciplinary studies) or 210 (for the faculty of engineering) would be given the opportunity to apply for admission to the Nigerian Army.
- You will not be permitted to take the Nigerian Army Recruitment Portal Examination if your JAMB Registration Number is missing.
