The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results of candidates sitting for the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2022 (Ghana Only Version).
The Council has hosted the results online and candidates who wish to do so can access their results on the Council website www.waecgh.org.
Following a request from the Ghana Education Service (GES), the results of 8,486 applicants who failed to return the learning support materials provided to them and/or destroyed school property are not accessible online on the site. Council website. Affected candidates are encouraged to visit their schools to learn their results.
Overall PERFORMANCE
A total number of 422,883 candidates consisting of 203,753 men and 219,130 women from 977 schools registered for the exam.
This figure is 5.25% lower than the 2021 entry of 446,352. A total of 2,818 (0.67%) of the candidates who registered were absent from the exam.
Table 2 shows an upward trend in the performance of candidates at Grade C6 and better in Social Studies over the three-year period (2023-2022).
English Language, Mathematics (Basic) and Integrated Sciences, showed a fluctuating trend in the performance of the candidates during the three-year period (2023-2022).

CANCELLED RESULTS
The Subject Results of 3,845 candidates have been cancelled for sending foreign material into the examination hall.
The Entire Results of 518 candidates have been cancelled for sending mobile phones into the examination hall.
WITHHELD RESULTS
The full results of 117 candidates have been withheld pending the conclusion of investigations into suspected cases of phishing detected during the exam.
Candidates’ scripts from 179 schools in certain subjects are being scrutinized for reported collusion.
Candidate-retained results may be canceled or published depending on the outcome of the investigations.
